The SR7 Multimodal Improvements Corridor Study is worked to identify both short and long term improvements to promote mobility and safety for all modes of travel along the SR7 corridor. In November 2015, the Broward MPO hosted an e-Townhall meeting, in which over 500 people participated.
Every four years, the Broward MPO undergoes an intensive evaluation process headed by the Federal Highway Administration (FWHA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). The FHWA/FTA Federal Review consists of four main activities, including: The review of planning documents, conducting a site visit, the development of a certification report, and a certification review close out presentation that discusses evaluation findings.
National leaders in transportation policy, planning, and engineering joined local elected officials to tackle the challenge of making some of the most dangerous cities for cyclists and pedestrians in the country safer through Complete Streets policies. Over 200 people were in attendance while others followed online using social media #S32016, making this the largest summit of its kind ever in South Florida.
