Last week our team (led by MPO Board Member and City of Miramar Commissioner Yvette Colbourne) represented Broward in the 2019 Walkability Action Institute (WAI) training organized by the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD).
This past weekend our partners at the City of Sunrise held a ribbon cutting event for the NW 64 Avenue project. Did you know that the MPO contributed $1 Million Federal dollars to this project? This project connects to the Sunset Strip Broward Complete Streets Demonstration Project! Some of the improvements include wider sidewalks, new & wider bike lanes and more.

On April 13, the Broward MPO participated in the Inaugural Uptown 5K at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport Runway. We are excited to announce we exceeded our goal of raising $700 benefitting the Trustbridge Hospice Foundation.
