Housing Coordination Plan

Housing accessibility is one of the emphasis areas identified for the Route to 2050 Metropolitan Transportation Plan ("MTP"). In addition to addressing connectivity between housing and the transportation system, the goal for this emphasis area was to establish a Housing Coordination Plan ("HCP"). During the development of the Route to 2050 MTP, Broward County adopted "Housing Broward: 10-Year Affordable Housing Master Plan" (which built upon the findings of the 2022 Broward County Affordable Housing Needs Assessment). The HCP planning effort began in August 2024 and is intended to be complete by June 2026.

Mission and Goals

The Mission of the Housing Coordination Plan is to address Broward County’s affordable housing crisis and transportation challenges through targeted transportation investments that deliver positive measurable impacts.
