Public Participation Plan (PPP)

How does the public get involved?

The PPP is a document that outlines how the MPO informs, involves, and engages residents, businesses, and stakeholders in transportation decision‑making.

The PPP:

  • Ensures the public knows about transportation plans and meetings
  • Provides opportunities to participate throughout the planning process
  • Emphasizes inclusion of underrepresented and underserved communities
  • Encourages new and effective outreach tools and strategies

The PPP is reviewed as part of the MPO’s federal certification process and ensures compliance with FHWA and FTA public involvement requirements.
