COAT Member Outreach Workshop

From April 25, 2019 6:00 pm until April 25, 2019 8:00 pm

Dear COAT members:

As you are aware, the SW 10th Street Connector project is progressing through the FDOT Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study Phase.  Two Alternatives Public Workshops were conducted last year and the public feedback and support has been incorporated into updated alternatives.

The FDOT would like to hold a series of workshops with the COAT members to review each of the recommendations and the degree to which each recommendation has been considered within the study alternatives.  Through this process they would like to ensure that the FDOT is making its best attempts possible to consider the recommendations and address the COAT members’ concerns. The FDOT would also like to identify if any additional analysis or information is needed to better address each item as part of the workshop process.

They are planning for a series of three workshops of two hours each to help ensure each item is addressed in sufficient detail for the group to evaluate.  They would like to conduct these meetings/workshops at the MPO office on Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8pm with the first workshop on April 25, 2019.  FDOT and the Broward MPO will work with the group to plan the remaining workshops over the next 2-3 months.  Time between meetings will allow the project team to develop and obtain any additional information or analysis that may be needed to work through each recommendation.  We look forward to an interactive dialogue to make the project the best it can be for the region and the communities it serves.
