from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Riverview Ballroom located
at 201 SW 5th Avenue | Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. Registration/Check-In begins at 8:00 AM and the
formal presentation begins at 9:00 AM. The project to be presented is the Wave Streetcar, Fort Lauderdale,
Florida.

Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization’s 2025 State of the Region & Annual Awards
Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)’s 2025 State of the Region & Annual Awards presented by Memorial Healthcare System will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort (321 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Blvd.). WPLG Local 10 Anchor Jacey Birch will host this prominent event organized by the Broward MPO and local partners.
MPO and Partner Cities Launch “Don’t Risk It” Campaign to Promote Rail Safety
The Broward MPO, in collaboration with the cities of Deerfield Beach, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Hallandale Beach, has launched a new rail safety campaign, “Don’t Risk It.” The campaign aims to raise awareness about the dangers of reckless behavior around trains and railroad crossings and reduce the rising accident rates in the region.
Broward MPO Awarded $15.4 million grant from the Federal Railroad Administration
On June 8, the Broward MPO was awarded a $15.4 million grant from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). FRA Deputy Administrator Jennifer Mitchell made the announcement at the MPO’s Board of Directors meeting.
