The purpose of Walking Audits is to highlight corridors and areas that could benefit from a street assessment to better promote all modes of transportation. Walking audits aim to engage stakeholders, technical staff, elected officials and representatives of non-traditional transportation partners.
Walking Audit Objectives
- Experience the surrounding area as a pedestrian
- Evaluate the safety and quality of the pedestrian experience
- Identify barriers to a walkable/bikeable/transit friendly environment
- Propose recommendations for improvements
