Oakland Park Boulevard was identified as a high-crasy corridor in the Broward MPO's 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), making it a priority location for further evaluation. In coordination with the City of Sunrise, the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMPO) conducted a Road Safety Analysis to better understand the factors contributing to crashes along this corridor.
This study takes a closer look at how people move along Oakland Park Boulevard; whether driving, biking, or using transit, and identifies opportunities to improve safety for all users.
The findings and recommendations from this analyisis are intended to help guide future improvements that can reduce crashes, enhance mobility, and create a safer, more comfortable experience for everyone who uses this roadway.
