The Broward MPO is committed to collaborating with our partner governments in their efforts to plan, prioritize and fund diverse transportation options. To further the planning efforts of our partners, the BMPO is establishing a competitive process to assess the potential for transportation related projects/plans, prioritize plans/projects, and fund planning studies to which yield (an) executable project(s).

The first round of the Planning Technical Assistance Program (PTAP) is open for applications. The MPO Board adopted the PTAP Policies to ensure studies meet the Federal Transit Administration’s transit nexus to maximize capital funding.

Due to the disruptions caused by COVID-19, the application deadlines has been extended.

*Applications are due by 5:00 PM April 30, 2020 June 30, 2020*.

Please view the Revised Date Memo for more information.

The PTAP Application is based on the Broward MPO’s Transportation Planning Guidebook. In order to submit a successful application the applicant will need to follow all criteria in the PTAP Policies. The application is designed to advance only if response is successfully answered in the affirmative. As questions are answered, follow-up questions will generate. The purpose of the application is not to answer every question, but to accurately determine where the project/plan is in the planning process. Each question requires back up, specific to the question, to receive credit. Click here to preview the questions.

The 2020 PTAP Application is now closed.
