The Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) would like to invite you to its first Mayor’s and Elected Officials Transportation Roundtable to discuss future investments in Broward’s transportation network and to identify ways to address the needs of our growing region. The roundtable will be held on April 18th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Broward MPO offices located at: 100 West Cypress Creek Road, Suite 650, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309. Mayors, MPO Board members, City Managers, and regional partners are invited to participate in this roundtable discussion.
The Mayor’s and Elected Officials Transportation Roundtable offers an opportunity to provide input on future policies, projects and investment priorities as part of the Broward MPO’s upcoming Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), including how to address anticipated funding gaps (both federal and local) in the future. We would also like to obtain feedback on the scenario planning proposed as part of the Broward MPO’s MTP to help develop a realistic transportation vision which addresses automated and connected vehicles, climate resiliency, land use changes, and the individual needs of each community.
